What is Sarhul?

Sarhul is a well-known celebration observed by several tribes in the Jharkhand region. Worshipping trees or the Saal tree is what the Sarhul word implies. The festival starts with the worship of trees and other natural elements. The majority of agricultural activities, like planting seeds, are initiated by the locals following this celebration.

In addition, the tribe brings new crops for religious purposes, including flowers, fruits, leaves from trees, and paddy. Every member of the tribe, regardless of gender or age, celebrates this day by dancing, singing, worshipping trees, and dressing in vibrant traditional clothing.
