How to Transfer Vehicle Ownership in Hyderabad

1. Get an NOC by submitting a duly-filled Form 28 at your original RTO.
2. If your car is not registered in any RTO in Hyderabad, you have to get a Form 29 from your original RTO.

Visit the RTO With Documents

Once you get the NOC, the new owner of the car has to go to the RTO with the following documents:

1. Original RC
2. Copy of valid insurance
3. Duly filled Form no.29
4. Copy of Residential Certificate (voter card/ passport/ telephone/electricity bill/ ration car- attach any two)
5. Duly filled Form no.30
6. Copy of valid pollution under control certificate
7. Crime Report of N.C.R.B.

Submission of the Documents

The new owner of the car has to provide the above documents to the Hyderabad RTO and also pay a fee. Once he/she gets the NOC from the state, the owner can initiate the process of re-registration.

Vehicle Re-Registration After Interstate Transfer

These are the documents to be submitted for re-registration of the car:

1. Original RC from another state
2. Form 20
3. NOC from previous RTO
4. Form 27
5. Form 33
6. Attested copy of address proof
7. Attested copy of the valid driving licence of car owner
8. Attested copy of PUC Certificate
9. Passport-size photos of the applicant
10. Lending bank NOC if the vehicle is under a loan
11. PAN Card, Form 60, or Form 61

Payment of Road Tax

If your car that has been brought is from a different state, the new owner will have to pay road tax to Hyderabad RTO. He/she has to claim a refund from the original state. The refundable amount of the tax will be based on the age of the car. The refund will be made after you submit these documents:

1. Updated and signed Form 16, which is essentially the applicant's salary certificate from the employer
2. Application for road tax refund
3. Copy of the old registration certificate
4. Copy of the new registration certificate
5. Insurance policy with new registration number
6. Address proof
7. Proof of ID

Documents Required for Transfer of Vehicle Ownership in Hyderabad

The new owner of the vehicle needs to submit the following documents:

1. 2 copies of Form no.29

7. 2 copies of address proof of buyer
8. Form 28 - NOC in case of vehicles from outside address proof PUC certificate, Insurance region/state certificate,
9. Photo along with finger print of right-hand thumb, certified by notary or gazetted officer.
10. Copy of G.I.R./Pan no. or Form no. 60/Form no. 61 (in case of cars only)
11. Registration Certificate, Tax Certificate) accompanied by prescribed fees.
12. In case of foreigners proof of legal presence in India as Valid Passport and Visa, registration and residential permit from police authority and proof of residence.
